On a photographic jaunt with my pals, we did the long drive from Surabaya airport and it took over 6 hours with a stop for lunch before we arrived at Papuma Beach….unfortunately the sun sets early here at around 5pm so we just caught the tail end of the sunset…still a beautiful spectacle with the rocky shoreline creating interesting foregrounds.

but with the dawn, the sun started peeking out…

Papuma Beach is a  beautiful rocky coastline with a variety of shooting angles and elevations…great for photographers.  It’s a long trek from Surabaya airport but worth it.  We stayed at the Aston Hotel in Jember which is an hour away from the beach…very decent hotel.
