In New Orleans for a few days and found out that the nearest parkland was in the City Park, about a 15 minute ride out from my hotel near the French Quarter. I alighted at the Couturie Forest and did a very nice walk towards the water….

Maybe my timing wasn’t good but there weren’t as many birds as I had expected; still being so near to town and easily accessible it was still a very pleasant morning’w ramble.
