Bird watching in Nusa Dua, Bali

When:  December 2014.    Weather:  Hot, 26-28C

Lumix FZ200 and Leica M240/21mm Super Elmar

In the fancy Nusa Dua area of Bali to check out venues for a conference, a search on the internet showed that there was an area of potentially interesting birding just a 15 min walk away from the Nusa Dua Hotel & Convention Centre. I walked there as my car didn’t show up and it was an easy walk.. Head to Jalan Pratama Raya (not Jalan Pratama) and the entrance to the Water Treatment Plant (Or Lagun) is near the roundabout which is at the entrance to the Nusa Dua area.   Along the way you see lots of interesting statues and flora…

Overall, it was worth the visit as it took very little effort to get to the WTP.  Being well laid out and pretty helped although the knowledge that the WTP is a euphemism for Sewage Treatment Plant is sobering…apart from the faintest whiff though, it was fine….higly recommended.

We had the chance to visit Uluwatu for tea…
