Birding Central Park, New York

We had a few days in New York in hot summer weather for a change. Between meetings, we had outings to the US Open, Long Island and the new Tiffany store in the city. Staying at the Park Lane Hotel next to central park itself, we finally found time to go for a bird walk on our final morning…

We started at 730am at the south side of Central Park…where ‘the Pond’ is…

Last bird of the morning was the stunning Chestnut sided warbler!

Central Park NY is vast….we spent a most enjoyable couple of hours there in lovely weather and the birding was reasonable…recommended
