Back in Hangzhou, Qiantang New Forest Park

In Hangzhou once again and set off for an early 7am morning walk from the globular Hangzhou Intercontinental to the Forest Park and adjacent park to the Qiantang River.

we then crossed Wuxing Road to get to the CBD Park which runs along the side of the Qiantang River…

we had a delightful encounter with the ubiquitous Light Vented Bulbul right at the entrance to the CBD park

we then exited the CBD park opposite the Hotel and headed past this flowerbed to a large elevated platform overlooking the river….

and finally an insistent cheep from the trees on the platform revealed a scaly breasted munia…

and heading back to the hotel on the overhead bridge, this elderly gentleman provided perfect contrast to the modernity that is Hangzhou today…

This 2 hour walk encompassing the Qiantang New Town Forest Park and the CBD Park was a perfect way to start the morning….with lovely gardens and a few birds to boot!
