We’d heard that there was a fruiting mango tree not far from where we live in Singapore and so we spent an hour there seeing what was there…
The aforementioned fruiting mango tree…spot the bird in the picture?
Here she is…..a rose ringed parakeet
Yum…this mango is good….
another view of rose ringed parakeet
The red breasted parakeet also appeared…
The spectacular rainbow or coconut lorikeet also joined in the feast…
with his mate….
and then with much gentler cheeps. this fellow appeared
A juvenile blue crowned hanging parrot….here without its blue crown yet….thanks to KC for help in ID
Cleaning up after eating…
this spectacular lizard was on the same tree
flashing his flag
a yellow vented bulbul was also eyeing the mangos
whilst an olive backed sunbird flitted around nearby
So, although only a half hour outing, we were well entertained by the parrots and parakeets…..
