The Porsche museum in Stuttgart

Stuttgart hotels were mostly full so we ended up at the Stuttgart Movenpick airport hotel…it was a 25 min subway ride into stuttgart central…very similar to any German city centre..there was a Michelin starred restaurant called Delice within walking distance and so we tried it out…the wines were outstanding, the starter and soup too..but the main of duck was way too tough and we had to send it back….overall could not complain about getting a Michelin starred meal for 145euros total for 2 with wine pairing. We would not get this in singapore!

The next morning I discovered that there was an outlet city called Metzingen just 30min away and this was truly a much better outlet than the Wertheim Village one we had been to earlier…stand alone stores of Hugo Bo, Prada, Armani etc etc After a few hours there, our next destination had to be the Porsche museum….the factory tours cannot be joined as a walk in so we had to make do with seeing the museum…lunch was had in the forecourt where a couple of vintage Porsches were…

An interesting and well curated museum overall but book your factory tour way in advance!
