Nikon P900

For two mornings we set off at 630am just after sunrise to walk the road outside the palace, mainly to the left as we exited the palace gates…
a lone cow watched us intently
stunning peacocks above a tree at the entrance
wire tailed swallows also greeted us
purple sunbird in Eclipse non-breeding plumage
a splendid female koel posed
laughing dove
rose ringed parakeet
A most handsome shikra, a type of goshawk watched over us
shikra
rufous treepie
white browed fantail
Indian robin
indian grey hornbills were fairly easy to spot
greater coucal
thick billed flower pecker
river terns
The Indian grey hornbill..quite majestic

so both inside the palace and outside the palace we had a great couple of days birding…highly recommended…and of course the palace itself was chramingly quaint.
