Birding Utterslev Mose, Copenhagen

We were scheduled to bird in the morning but the gale force winds and rain put paid to that…the sun finally came out in the afternoon and we set off about 4pm to Utterslev Mose, about 7km to the north of the city. There are walking trails and viewpoints with observation towers around.

we stopped where the blue line ends and walked on the lakeside to the right…

The lake itself is tranquil with but a few joggers around…we found a small observation tower which was great for bird in flight shots

One of the reasons I had changed to the OM MFT system was to get better bird-in-flight shots…the observation tower was excellent for this as the birds put on a veritable flying display…

Utterslev Mose is a very decent birding location not far from town…. recommended.
